Hypoxylon aeruginosum var. aeruginosum, H. fendleri and H. undulatum collected in the subtropical montane forest from northwest Argentina are reported for the first time for the Southern Cone. We describe and analyze their teleomorph and anamorph, and provide photographs and drawings of the most relevant structures. Moreover, a key to Hypoxylon spe...

Phyllobaeis is mainly a Neotropical genus and contains six species. It has a squamulose primary thallus (except for one species with crustose primary thallus), stipitate podetia, and simple or 1-septate hyaline, ovoid to fusiform ascospores. The species occur mainly on soil in altitudes of 700 to 4,400 m. In Brazil three species are known, recorded...

Hypoxylon ochraceotuberosum and H. rickii are reported for the first time for the Argentinean funga based on recently collected specimens from the northwestern montane forest. Until now, H. ochraceotuberosum has only been known to occur in the Martinique (French West Indies). In contrast, H. rickii was already recorded for the Southern Cone, but based on specimens collected in the Atlantic Rain Forests from Southeast Brazil. Detailed descriptions and photo illustrations are provided for each species.

The present paper deals with a partial survey of Hypoxylon species collected from forest regions of Balehonnur, Chikkamagaluru District, Karnataka, India. Exploration of Hypoxylon species was done in 2020. Six species, Hypoxylon cinnabarinum, Hypoxylon fendleri, Hypoxylon haematostroma Hypoxylon lenormandii, Hypoxylon rickii, and Hypoxylon subgilvum have been recorded. Among them Hypoxylon lenormandii and Hypoxylon subgilvum are new records in India. This paper presents detailed descriptions of all six species with illustrations
