With the integration of technology and social media in education, there is increasing interest in innovative approaches to enhance managerial skills among prospective physical education and sports teachers. The integration of technology and social media into education has prompted interest in exploring innovative methods to enhance the managerial skills of prospective physical education and sports teachers. This study investigates the impact of an intervention on the managerial skills of fourth-year students majoring in Physical Culture and Sports across three educational institutions in Kazakhstan. Out of 564 participants, 355 were eligible for analysis: 167 used chatbots and 188 followed conventional classroom methods. The intervention included a 4-week team management course starting in January 2022. Chatbot users accessed various materials such as short lecture videos, stories, assignments, infographics, and audio sequences, while conventional learners attended standard lectures and practical sessions. Following the course, participants undertook a 12-week teaching practice, with chatbot users also maintaining an active Twitter presence to build a positive image as future physical education teachers. Managerial skills were assessed using a 44-item questionnaire, covering Conceptual, Human, and Technical skills. Additionally, social media popularity was measured based on Twitter activity. Results showed that both groups significantly improved their Conceptual, Human, and Technical skills after the course. Chatbot users demonstrated greater improvement in Technical skills (p = 0.003, d = 1.139), while conventional learners showed stronger Human skills (p = 0.021, d = 1.32). Specifically, the mean score for Technical skills increased from 2.71 to 3.76 for chatbot users and from 2.65 to 3.20 for conventional learners. Moreover, chatbot-aided learners further enhanced their Conceptual and Human skills through social media engagement. Correlation analysis indicated a close relationship between managerial skills and social media popularity. These findings have significant practical implications for the education and development of prospective physical education and sports teachers. Integrating chatbots and social media into educational settings offers innovative approaches to enhancing managerial skills.

Human capital is considered as the most critical issue in the success or failure of digital startups, as these firms highly rely on their team members as well as their behaviours. Among these, knowledge sharing behaviour plays a vital role. Therefore, this paper focused on how human capital could affect the performance of selected Iranian digital startups, considering the moderating role of knowledge sharing behaviour. To do so, 160 digital startups - which were registered in the science part of the University of Tehran - were studied as the research population. Based on Morgan's table, 113 startups were selected using a random sampling technique. SmartPLS 3 was used to analyse the research hypotheses. According to the findings, human capital had positively affected the performance of the studied digital startups. Besides, their knowledge sharing behaviour had a mediating role in this relationship, other than the relationship between communications and performance. Thus, we suggest digital startups to improve their human capital and also pay more attention to enriching the knowledge sharing behaviour among their members.

Purpose: This study proposes a model for future research agendas on knowledge management activities as a source of increasing sustainable competitive advantage. Based on the literature, the role of knowledge management in sustainable competitive advantage does not necessarily have a significant effect but involves other variables. For this reason, future research proposals on the role of knowledge management on sustainable competitive advantage and other relevant variables need to be carried out. Research design, data, and methodology: This research uses a literature study. The model development stage is (1) relevant research studies, (2) identification of relevant theories and related variables, (3) developing and making a hypothesis (4) proposed model. Results: From the literature study, it was found that knowledge management plays a role in increasing managerial competence, market orientation, and innovation. Furthermore, managerial competence, market orientation, and innovation significantly affect sustainable competitive advantage. However, other studies have found a different relationship. Conclusions: This study proposes a research model on the role of knowledge management, managerial competence, market orientation, and innovation to improve sustainable competitive advantage. The study results can be used for further research based on the proposed model and as a reference for company owners and management to increase competitive advantage

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Team performance is one of the ways to deal with successive changes from the point of view of experts. Therefore, continuous changes in the work environment and daily work activities require sharing ideas and the need for continuous learning and entrepreneurship. Neglecting entrepreneurship has a negative effect on companies and by neglecting entrepreneurship, it is impossible to operate effectively in a dynamic environment. Therefore, in today’s competitive world, companies will lose their competitiveness. Thus, the purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of team performance on the internationalization of digital startups through mediating role of entrepreneurship. METHODS: In terms of the purpose, it is applied and quantitative research. The research population is estimated to be 375 employees of 101 Iranian international digital startups in the field of technology and city services, which accounted for 10% of exports between 2021 and 2022. The sample size is estimated through Cochran’s formula of 190 people. To collect data, a standard 5- point Likert scale questionnaire with 22 items was used. Finally, the data were analyzed by using Smart PLS 3 software. FINDINGS: The results showed that emotional commitment, creating an environment of innovation, and knowledge sharing through mediating role of entrepreneurship have a positive and significant effect on the internationalization of digital startups. The results of the research indicate positive relationships among Emotional Commitment (2.671) and with entrepreneurship mediating (2.927), Innovative environment (2.478) and with entrepreneurship mediating (2.697), and Knowledge sharing (2.707) and with entrepreneurship mediating (3.333) concerning the internationalization of digital startups. Therefore, these hypotheses were confirmed. CONCLUSION: The team performance of employees plays an important role in the survival and success of companies in the international sector. The knowledge that companies gain from other companies, especially during internationalization, can escalate their competitiveness in the global market. The performance of the team as the primary factor of learning and innovation facilitates trust among the company’s employees.

This chapter first briefly discusses the expected learning outcomes (i.e., skills and competencies) in entrepreneurship education, including creativity, innovation, industry-specific knowledge, decision-making, risk-taking, problem-solving, leadership qualities, ethics, and social responsibility. Next, the chapter examines whether the conventional entrepreneurial curriculum successfully contributes to the academic and social goals and meets the needs and expectations of students and society at large. It also presents a discussion on why the recent socio-cultural, technological, pandemic-related changes, including mass digitalization, working remotely or working from home, asynchronicity and global communities of practice, demand new approaches to enhance learners’ experience and maximize the achievement of learning outcomes in post-secondary entrepreneurship education. Then the chapter explores artificial intelligence (AI), such as the virtual classroom, AI Tutor, interactive smart boards, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), simulation, and big data systems, as a disruptive technology in education. While computer systems with ‘intelligence’ are already performing many tasks that were commonly associated with humans, there are growing interests, concerns and uncertainty regarding the wider application of AI in education. Accordingly, the chapter includes a discussion on the trends in AI adoption in education and how AI is likely to reshape curriculums, teaching and assessment, as well as its positive and negative impacts on teaching and learning. Further, this chapter explores the enormous potential of AI specifically in entrepreneurship education. A rich discussion is presented on the possibilities and conditions for an effective instructor-AI collaboration that can make an important contribution to all the key areas of teaching and learning in entrepreneurship education, such as the curriculum, instruction, assessment and feedback. An instructor-AI collaboration has the potential to improve curriculums, pedagogical practices, learner motivation and engagement, which are critical to achieving learning outcomes. The chapter concludes with the argument that while integrating AI in entrepreneurship education is capital intensive, it is worth investing in instructor-AI collaboration as it facilitates the progress of learners by providing them with customized learning support without unduly limiting individual choice.

Entrepreneurial education has become a buzzword among higher education institutes. Developing the innovative pedagogies to boost the effectiveness of entrepreneurship education has become a big challenge. The present literature review-based study performs the bibliometric analysis, citation analysis, co-authorship analysis of the existing studies based on entrepreneurship pedagogy adopted by higher education institutes. The study finds that the evolution of entrepreneurship education has started only after 2011. The study recommends the development of blending both theory and practicals in order to enhance impact of entrepreneurship courses. Simulation-based pedagogy in entrepreneurship education should be applied toward developing entrepreneurial games for the interested students as a positive impact of simulation games on students’ entrepreneurial intention on the basis of previous studies.KeywordsEntrepreneurshipBibliometric analysisSimulationPedagogyCitation analysisHigher education

Simulation-based teaching is an emerging type of teaching in entrepreneurship education. This type of teaching lets teachers ensure that students have learned specific skills. Entrepreneurial skills are among the most complex skills to be taught as they are dedicated to entrepreneurs. Many entrepreneurs are not willing to register for typical academic degrees; instead, they prefer shorter courses. In this chapter, the authors investigate the impact of simulation-based teaching on improving 227 MBA or DBA students’ entrepreneurial skills at the University of Tehran. Findings revealed that simulation-based teaching, which is focused on technical, communication, and cognitive skills, increases students’ entrepreneurial skills. Besides, an innovative atmosphere mediates this relationship positively and could help the students improve their entrepreneurial skills.KeywordsSimulation-based teachingEntrepreneurial skillsMBADBAStudents
