Human labor work has been increasingly being replaced by robots to do works for decades, especially those that are tedious and risky. Moreover, works done by robotics have less error prone and higher efficiency. This paper presents a design and develops microcontroller based mobile robot (MR). The robot is based on a microcontroller, acting as the brain, which contain a series of programs that interpret its surrounding through input data from the sensors and maneuver through the limited data obtained while avoiding obstacle. The prototype was able to differentiate surrounding and maneuver to desired location smoothly according to predefined path while simultaneously sensing for obstacle to avoid. The Proportional–Integral–Derivative (PID) based program on the microcontroller was critical because it needs to handle the sensitive sensors feedback and sent correct command to respond to the surrounding while at the same time having the correct arrangement and format. The developed MR can be controlled autonomously, following the path by varying the current fed to the motor through error correction, towards desired location while simultaneously sensing for obstacle as far as 400 cm ahead. Through decision making the speed of the MR will adjust itself and will put stop moving when the obstacle was 5 cm ahead. Based on the experiment the advantage and disadvantage of the current development were realized for further development.

Currently, instant communication is very possible all over the world due to a rapid growth in mobile phones technology. Each day, a number of mobile phones subscribers and cellular network coverage is escalating tremendously. Today's mobile phones are released with ability nearly to that of a desktop computer. The ubiquity nature of mobile phones and extended network coverage allows for constant connectivity, easy flow of information and accessibility. Students use mobile phones to store lecture materials, tutorials, communicate with colleagues and surf the internet for different purposes. These advantages would have adverse effects if mobile phones will be brought in restricted premises such as exam venues. Disobedient candidates use mobile phones to cheat in exams. In this paper, we propose a system prototype that will be used to detect mobile phones in the exam venues.

Today, all the parents has anxiety about the use of mobile phone, less attendance and lower academic performance of their children. Amali Ismaila, Onche. O, Bello Muhinat and Hassan, Ibrahim (2012), hypothesize that the use of mobile phones in constantly unfair during lectures. This is an indication that mobile phones have become negative influence that affects students’ commitment to their academic work. This would have been the cause of failure of some student in their courses.Unnati A. Patel, Dr. Swaminarayan Priya (2014), shows that, Student’s overall academic performance is affected by the student’s present in his institute therefore Whole world and administrators of Educational institutions’ in our country are concerned about regularity of student attendanceSome teacher restrict the students to use of mobile phone during lecture, but illegal users of mobile phones may not be uncovered by teachers during lecture hours, better equipment for detecting unauthorized usage of mobile phones during lecture time is needed. Hence, there is a requirement of computer-based student attendance management system with Mobile Phone detection facility, which will assist the faculty for maintaining attendance of presence and also system will detect the illegal use of mobile phone. In this Paper, researcher review the various computerized system which is being developed by using different techniques for “Attendee System” and “Mobile Phone Detection System”. Based on this review a new approach for “College Attendance Management System with Mobile Detector” is proposed to be used for various colleges or academic institutes.

The use of mobile phone as a cheating tool in the examination hall among students have considerably increased a burden to invigilators to ensure integrity in examination hall. Many active mobile phone detection schemes had been proposed as the solution to this problem. However, the detection system function in a small detection range of 1.5 to 2 meters from the detection circuit and does not distinguish various frequency bands of radio frequency signals. In order to have diverse range of RF mobile phone signals detection for alerting the invigilators of their specified monitoring region, antenna is proposed to be used. This is done by antenna design simulation using Computer Simulation Technology (CST) software. Two types of antenna; single-dipole antenna and multi-band dipole antenna are simulated to know the characteristics of VSWR, gain and total efficiency. From the simulation results, multi-band dipole antenna shows acceptable VSWR value which are approximate to 2 V, gain is equal to 2.85 dB and total efficiency is equal to 2.484 dB for 2.4 GHz signal. The results imply positive event that multi-band antenna can be a preferable tool in elaborating accurate RF signal detection of active mobile phone in examination hall.

The main centre of attention of student should be education but unluckily today’s students waste time on mobile phone they get absents from academic activities because they use the mobile phone at late night. The purpose of this research study is to identify the mobile phone addiction level of students through researcher developed Mobile Phone Overkill Test.

Abstract Students use mobile-phones to store lecture-materials, e-books, tutorials, videos, communicate with their classmates and browse the internet for exceedingly-different-intentions. These projected-advantages, however, would have potential-undesirable-effects if mobile-phones are utilized in restricted-premises, such as exam-venues. Noncompliant- students (to general University exam-regulations) do use mobile-phones to cheat in exams. The rapid-explosion of cell-phones at the beginning of the 21st Century eventually raised problems, such as their potential-use to invade privacy or contribute to widespread academic-cheating. In this paper, two systems, that will be used, independently, to detect mobile-phones in the exam-venues, were proposed: a mobile-detector with a range of 1.0m, using resistor-capacitor-circuit, which can detect both the incoming and outgoing-calls, as well as video-transmission and text messages, even if a mobile-phone is kept at the silent mode; and a Reed-switchcircuit- scanner, which, responds to an applied-magnetic-field and, can be used to detect mobile-phones that are switched-off or put on flight-mode, and thus, it can be used to scan students (without physical-inspection) on their entering examination-rooms. Overall, the results of this-concise-study are rather-positive, providing a goodstarting- point for advanced investigations and improvements of the same. Several future-research-areas were also proposed by the study. Keywords: mobile, phone, students, detector, cheating.
