DMTF CIM based MOF classes diagram for Overlay network Fig. 6 shows OAM services for inter-AS TE. For performance management we designed InterASNet_PMSrv class derived from OAMService. The QoS_interASNet_PMSrv is used to configure the start and stop of performance monitoring operation, and the collection of results statistics. GetThoughput() method is used to obtain throughput of ingress NMS. GetDelay() and GetNumberOfPacketLoss() are used to obtain delay and number of packet loss accordingly. The fault management service is defined in QoS_InterASNet_FMSrv class, and it has the external methods for notifying the faults/recovery on managed objects. The QoS_interASNet_FMSrv is used to configure the fault & alarm notification functions for abnormal conditions on the established inter-AS TELSPs and also for fault restoration. The QoS_interASNet_CMSrv is used to AS connection

To guarantee the user-requested QoS and to keep the network utilization at maximum, the performance management of DiffServ-over-MPLS is essential. The performance management function monitors the network utilization and verifies the network performance compared with the agreed SLA (Service Level agreement). Constraint-based routing for guaranteed Q...

... of MPLSTunnel and InterAS_TE_MPLSTunnel classes MOs may be associated with two MOs of MPLSPerformanceInfo class accordingly for LSP's ingress and egress routers. MOFs of QoS_interASNet and QoS_DiffServNet (Fig. 5) are derived from CIM_Network MOF that may contain multiple CIM_NetworkPipes with related ...

MPLS has been developed to provide efficient traffic engineering capability for the massive high-speed Internet traffic. The major advantages of the MPLS are (i) fast label switching mechanism to increase the packet forwarding capability, and (ii) the connection oriented traffic engineering to provide flexible load balancing in the transit network....

Web Based Enterprise Management (WBEM) specifies standard for a unifying architecture that allows access to data from a variety of underlying technologies, platforms, and presents that data in a consistent fashion. The aim of this article is to systematically review of work done by various researchers regarding WBEM and provide guidelines to adopt Efficient XML Interchange (EXI) binary xml technology instead of xml in the WBEM architecture so that more improved results may be achieved in the distributed heterogeneous network. Study reflects that selection of methodology and parameters are application specific. Furthermore improved solution for WBEM using EXI is also discussed.
