This research refers to holistic thinking, aiming to have a positive impact on both teachers and students. The implementation of the scientific learning model has been applied at Muhammadiyah Bondowoso High School to enhance students' learning outcomes. The focus of this research is on how the application of the scientific learning model improves students' learning outcomes. Therefore, the research objective is to understand the application of the scientific learning model in enhancing students' learning outcomes. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings of this research indicate that the application of the scientific model in improving students' learning outcomes at Muhammadiyah Bondowoso High School involves five steps: observing, questioning, collecting data, associating, and communicating. The results show that the use of the scientific learning model tends to enhance and be effective in improving students' learning outcomes at Muhammadiyah Bondowoso High School, creating a new and engaging classroom atmosphere. With this model, students become more active and critical, even though there may be differences in intellectual abilities among students. Overall, the teaching and learning activities help cultivate students' creativity and develop more mature thought patterns.

The implementation of HOTS in the learning process is considered capable of improving the quality of education in Indonesia. However, in online learning conditions, there are many obstacles and limitations to training HOTS in Biology lesson. This study aims to describe biology teachers' knowledge, preparation, and implementation of HOTS training during online learning. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of phenomenology. This study involved 12 Biology teachers at SMA and SMK in West Java. The data collection technique is carried out through interviews via WhatsApp Call. The data analysis technique used is through reduction, data review, and conclusions drawing. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the teacher’s understanding of HOTS learning is still weak, and the implementation of HOTS training during online learning is still not optimal. The most widely used learning model is Problem based Learning. The constraint implementation of online HOTS training is inseparable from the online learning barriers, but teachers also continue to try to handle these barriers with various solutions.

Abstrak: Critical thinking sangat penting untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa sekolah dasar dengan mengoptimalkan kemampuan kognitif dalam memecahkan permasalahan, dengan menggunakan media graphic organizer sebagai media dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan critical thinking. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen kuasi dengan desain one group pretest posttest dengan lokasi penelitian SDN 37 Pekanbaru dengan jumlah siswa 27 siswa, untuk memperoleh data penelitian menggunakan istrumen berbentuk essay dengan empat indikator yang dinilai. Teknik analisis data menggunakan SPSS versi 22. Hasil penelitian data pretest dengan rata-rata 56.52 dan rata-rata posttest 72.93 untuk menuju pengujian perbedaan menggunakan uji paired sampel dengan hasil -8,419 < 2,056 dapat disimpulkan ada perbedaan yang sangat signifikan kemampuan critical thinking siswa dengan menggunakan media graphic organizer.Kata Kunci: Media Graphic Organizer, Critical Thinking Abstract: Critical thinking is very important to improve the learning outcomes of elementary school students by optimizing cognitive abilities in solving problems, using a media graphic organizer as a medium in learning to improve critical thinking. This study used a quasi-experimental method with one group pretest posttest design with the research location of SDN 37 Pekanbaru with 27 students, to obtain research data using an essay-shaped instrument with four assessed indicators. The data analysis technique used SPSS version 22. The results of the research were pretest data with an average of 56.52 and an average post-test of 72.93 to get to the difference test using the paired sample test with the results of -8.419 <2.056, it can be concluded that there is a very significant difference in the critical thinking ability of students by using media graphic organizer.Keywords: Graphic Organizer Media, Critical Thinking
