One of the most representative illustrations of our species so far is apparently that of C. balteatotomentosus Henry 1958 sensu Moënne- Loccoz & Reumaux (1990;pl. 24), but the holotype of C. balteatotomentosus Henry (designed in hEnry 1985: hEnry no 306) represents C. balteatus (based on sequencing). Fig. 6, 7, 8 This is a typical northern, boreal species with few finds in Central Europe. It seems to be slightly oceanic, with a NW European distribution, with a core area in montane, nutrient-poor, most often moist Picea abies forests of Norway.
