Pansori, traditional Korean music, has recently been expanding its boundaries and increasing its sustainability through colla-boration with other genres. The present study aimed to evaluate panelists’ perceptions of new trends in performing arts inKorea, focusing on the convergence of Pansori and Korean contemporary dance. This study analyzed panelists’ perceptionsof the convergence of Pansori and Korean contemporary dance using the Delphi technique. Thus, 20 panelists on Pansoriand Korean contemporary dance were recruited to propose a facilitation strategy for converging the two performing arts.This study was conducted over 3 months, from November 2021 to January 2022. A total of three Delphi rounds were held,and the panel reached a consensus in five areas. The panel suggested various facilitation strategies: development of perform-ing arts content for convergence of Pansori and Korean contemporary dance; reinforcing manpower exchanges betweenPansori and Korean contemporary dance; improving the treatment of performers; reasonable ticket prices; and reinforcinggovernment support policies. As a result, this study shows that the fusion performance of traditional and contemporary ele-ments, Pansori and Korean contemporary dance, needs to explore blending disciplines and styles, breaking traditional bound-aries, and exploring new creative expressions.

This paper aims to examine the themes of five extant pansoris, Korean traditional music. Therefore, this study collected the lyrics of the five works, including Chunhyangga, Simcheongga, Heungboga, Jeokbyeokga, and Sugungga. This study examined the theme of each pansori using thematic analysis of the collected data. According to the results of this study, the themes of the five works could be summarized as love, loyalty, filial piety, moderation, and Confucianism and humor. This study has the significance of deriving a common theme through thematic analysis of the lyrics of five extant pansoris.

The purpose of this research is to provide insights into the relationship between music and technology, which is closely intertwined with production, distribution, and consumption patterns. Using document analysis as the research method, this study explores the potential benefits of integrating artificial intelligence and machine learning into the music industry, examining future models and use cases from various perspectives. Additionally, this study outlines the need for future research to improve artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms, ensure their responsible and ethical application, and provide insights into new possibilities for musical innovation.
