In the meandering plain ( Figure 4) and in the delta plain ( Figure 6) the sediments come from the Po river; in the valleys and reliefs of the alluvial plain and in the terraces of the Apennine margin ( Figures 7, 8 and 9) the sediments come from the Apennine rivers, while in the coastal plain ( Figure 5) they come from both the Po river and the Apennine rivers.
