Clathrus crispus, C. chrysomycelinus and Phallus indusiatus are recorded for the first time from Paraguay. In addition, the distribution of the species Mutinus argentinus is extended. The distinctive macroscopic and microscopic morphological characteristics of each species is described. Photographs of the fresh materials are attached along with com...

A first review of Gasteroid fungi (Agaricomycetes, Basidiomycota) in Paraguay). Based on the available literature, a list of 40 gasteroid species recorded in Paraguay since the earliest known collection is presented. A total of forty species are reported, distributed among 16 genera and 4 families. This work represents the first compilation of data available on this group of fungi for Paraguay. These numbers reveal the scarce amount of species formally cited for the Paraguayan Funga.

Palabras clave: Geastrales, micobiota Neotropical, taxonomía de hongos Geastrum species (Geastraceae, Basidiomycota): new records from the Paraguayan Pan-tanal. Geastrum argentinum, G. hariotii and G. pampeanum var. pallidum are recorded for the first time from the Paraguayan chaco and G. saccatum and G. triplex are recorded for the first time for the Northeastern region of the country and the Pantanal ecoregion. The distinctive mac-roscopic and microscopic morphological characteristics of each species are herein described, and photographs of fresh basidiomata are presented along with comments regarding their distribution and taxonomy.

Campi M, Maubet Y, Trierveiler-Pereira L 2021-Rediscovery of Clathrus argentinus and new contributions to the gasteroid mycobiota of Paraguay. Abstract Clathrus argentinus was described as a new species from central and northern Argentina in 1985. Thirty-five years later, we report C. argentinus from Paraguay. Along with this interesting discovery, eight other new records of gasteroid fungi viz. Blumenavia rhacodes, Calvatia cyathiformis, Cyathus earlei, Geastrum pusillipilosum, Lysurus sphaerocephalum, Myriostoma calongei, Phallus campanulatus and Tulostoma pygmaeum are reported from the country. In addition, the distribution of Calvatia rugosa, Cyathus limbatus, Cyathus poeppigii and Podaxis pistillaris is extended for Paraguay. Descriptions and photographs of the fresh specimens are included along with comments on their taxonomy and ecology.

Palabras claves: diversidad fúngica, Funga, micobiota, Polyporaceae, Bosque Atlántico del Alto Paraná Funga of the Ybycui National Park: preliminary list of species of macrofungi and new citations for Paraguay. The peak in the study of macrofungi in Paraguay in recent years has marked a before and an after in the fungal history of the country. The need for scientific information in mycology encourages the study of protected areas in order to publicize the funga of the country. Four field campaigns were carried out during 2019-2020 in the Ybycui National Park, resulting in the identification of 31 families and 77 species of basidiomycetes and ascomycetes. The family with the most representative members was Polyporaceae, with 15 species. Fourteen new species were cited for Paraguay.
