Agro chemical and fertilizer usage is common in the area. With the interviews of farmers, it was found that they need pesticides and chemical fertilizers for their paddy and vegetable cultivation. Chemical usage is traditionally accepted that directly affect to oil I the area. Figure 2 and 3 shows the pesticides and fertilizer usage of selected farmers. Chemical fertilizer usage into agricultural lands become a worldwide environmentally effective factor and it cause to make different type of environmental problems. Figure 1 shows the percentage of farmers that use chemical fertilizers into paddy lands. According to discussions with them, they use more organic fertilizers also. Higher usage of organic fertilizers may affect to environment than chemicals with increasing organic matters in the soil. Ecosystems encompass a dynamic web of interactions between living organisms and their environment. This network includes everything from the smallest microorganisms to the largest mammals, and landscape. Ecosystems provide vital services, such as clean air, water, nutrient, climate regulation and all the related things. However, human activities have significantly affected these systems, leading to habitat destruction, species extinction and disruption in delicate ecological balances. Human population growth increased the conversion of natural ecosystems for agricultural, industrial, and residential purposes, as well as the demand for ecosystem inputs like freshwater, fiber, and soil fertility. It also placed strain on the ability of natural ecosystems to sustain human populations. Growing agricultural, engaging in illicit fishing and hunting, and unplanned activities greatly influenced it. Future generations may face risk of starvation, thirst, illness, and catastrophe if we continue to lose biodiversity. It directly and indirectly contributes to many aspects of human life, such as security, the necessities for a happy life, health, positive social interactions, and the freedom to make decisions and take action. The article focused on effects of human activity on ecosystems and to evaluate how well managed processes contribute to habitat conservation, in order to better understand the importance of ecosystems on living beings in this planet.

This study was proposed to explore the impact of human activities on the environment in Mhondongori. In this community, there are natural resources that include minerals, natural forest, wetlands, rivers and beautiful mountains. However, over the past two decades, the environmental quality of the community has deteriorated demonstrating irresponsible use of natural resources by humans. Indeed, if such poor natural resource management continues at the current rate, this would ultimately lead to extinction. Qualitative research design and convenience sampling methods were used. The study involved six participants who provided the data. An interview guide and observation techniques were used to collect data. Using content analysis data was classified into themes and a scorecard was used to determine the human activities on the environment and their impact. The results revealed that in Mhondongori, human activities that affected the environment were mining, veld fire, cutting down trees, overgrazing, excessive communal hunting and fishing, littering, water and air pollution. The impacts were the degradation of land, permanent scars on the landscape, deforestation, destruction of wildlife habitats, disappearance of wetlands, destruction of trees, grass, seed bank and seedlings, pollution of streets, bushes and rivers, disruption of migration and hibernation of animals. To conserve the environment, it was recommended that community leadership must develop appropriate environmental management strategies to mitigate these unfavourable impacts and that the state must empower Mhondongori leadership through reasonable legislative and other measures that would prevent environmental degradation.
