... Until now, the tribe Ledomyiini (Cecidomyiidae: Cecidomyiinae: Brachineuridi) comprised 12 genera including 10 extant genera and 2 fossil ones (Gagné and Jaschhof 2021). Though two of them, Cingola Fedotova &Sidorenko, 2006a andPennaticoxita Jiao &Bu, 2016 had been transferred to the tribe Brachineurini and reviewed by Jiao et al. (2013Jiao et al. ( , 2016Jiao et al. ( , 2019 and Jiao and Bu (2014) for their lack of the ventral mediobasal lobe of male gonocoxite. During an inspection on an early collection of Ledomyiini specimens from southern China, another new species, Pseudocingola guanshanensis gen. ...
... This generic diagnosis was originally provided by Spungis (1981), then supplemented by Fedotova (2014) and now needs to be updated to include the new species as follows: Isogynandromyia is characterised in the tribe Ledomyiini by the representative shorter and slender dorsal mediobasal lobe of gonocoxite. This genus is also distinguishable from the other Ledomyiini genera by the unique combination of the extraordinary narrowed wings, the untoothed tarsal claws on all legs and the undivided hypoproct. ...

The Brachineuridi (Diptera: Cecidomyiidae: Cecidomyiinae) from Allegheny county are presented. One new genus and species: Paracingola conspicua n. gn. et n. sp. and two additional new species: Lauthia pennsylvanica n. sp.; Rhizomyia hortensis n. sp. are fully described and illustrated and compared to their closest congeners. Other Brachineuridi studied from this region are: Acinacistyla brevilobata Jiao & Bu 2013, Brachineura eupatorii Felt 1907, Epimyia carolina Felt 1911, Ledomyia flavotibialis (Felt 1907) and Ledomyia emilyae Gagne 1985. Anticipating its discovery here, Coccidomyia pennsylvanica Felt 1911 is included as an extralimital species. A larval, pupal and adult diagnosis is given which superficially supports the super tribe Brachineuridi.
... The specimens agree in most respects with the holotype, although we note that the male peculiarly modified aedeagus, tegment, gonocoxal mediobasal lobes, tergites, sternites and broad cerci are not clearly indicated on the original illustration and description of the holotype by Fedotova (2004). Specifically, in the present paper, the distal halves of aedeagus and tegment are refigured and redescribed in detail; and the basal halves of aedeagus and tegment, gonocoxal mediobasal lobes, tergites and sternites are added first for pusilla, all of which above are not illustrated or described in the original account of the species from Fedotova (2004) and the following Fedotova (2014). As for the broad cerci, the lobes are tapered and present to be sub-right-triangular on specimens in Northeastern China, but rounded and to be semicircular on the type specimens in Russian Far East. ...

The gall midges genus Niladmirara Fedotova, gen. n. (type species: N. metula Fedotova, sp. n.) is described in the tribe Asynaptini (Cecidomyiidae: Porricondylinae). This genus consists of three species: type species, N. devergentia sp. n. and N. mucronata (Mamaev et Zaitzev), comb. n. New genus is closely related to Camptomyia Kieffer, 1894 but differs from it by form of wide transversal or round genitalia; by absence transversal dorsal bridge between roots of gonocoxites; by presence of roots of parameres fused with apodemae of gonocoxites; by two pairs very long overlapping projections of parameres; by presence of enlarging on proximal end of aedeagal rod; by gonostylus with subapical ventral excision and apical little claw; by very long neck of middle flagellomeres. Key to the species of Niladmirara gen. n. is given for males.
