The purpose of this study is to examine the consumer adoption of mobile augmented reality (AR) in the tourism industry in Malaysia. Drawing on the extended Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), interactivity, vividness, and information content factors are examined in relation to perceived usefulness (PU). and perceived ease of use (PEOU). Subsequently, both PU and PEOU are hypothesised towards customer engagement (CE), behavioural intention to use (BIU) and usage behaviour (UB). The study consists of 500 samples from consumers who have experienced the usage of mobile AR in the tourism industry in Malaysia. Using a quantitative approach, structural equation modeling (SEM) was applied to analyse the collected data. The findings revealed that interactivity, vividness, and information content have positive effects on the PU and PEOU. PU and PEOU have positive effects on the CE, BIU, and UB. In theoretical contributions, the study contributes to the extension of TAM by adding interactivity, vividness, and information content as antecedents to PU and PEOU. This research also validated CE as the new dimension for consumer behavioural engagement that affects BIU and UB in the extended TAM. In practical contributions, the findings will assist tourism providers in strategic marketing planning and formulation to enhance mobile AR.
... According to Brezavšček et al (2016), intention-to-use is "the degree to which a person has formulated conscious plans to perform or not perform some specified future behavior". Behavioral intention-to-use is an important precursor to actual system usage (Mardiana et al, 2015). This is primarily significant because the success of information systems such as web-based platforms is dependent on user acceptance (Revythi and Tselios, 2019). ...
... Despite the benefits of information systems, there are instances where users do not accept its use and therefore the system fails to achieve the purpose for which it was intended (Díez and McIntosh, 2009). Hence, there is a surge in evaluating users' intention-to-use information systems (Mardiana et al, 2015). This becomes crucial in the case of practitioners such as construction professionals who have been noted to be reluctant to embrace information and communication technology (ICT) (Alaloul et al, 2020) of which information systems such as web platforms are subsets (Sorce and Issa, 2021). ...

The construction industry is rapidly changing due to the greater adoption of innovations and technology. This has necessitated changes in the competencies that the industry demands from new graduates. For academia to meet the changing needs of the industry, the inputs of practitioners are needed to complement academic pedagogical efforts. This study leverages the potential of Web 2.0 to develop a web platform called ConPEC to facilitate instructor-practitioner collaborations for enhancing student learning. ConPEC is aimed at providing instructors with equitable access to practitioners, increasing the participation of practitioners in instructors' pedagogical efforts, and enabling greater interaction of students with their communities of practice (CoP). These could facilitate achieving a proper blend of theory and practice in construction engineering education as well as ensure that students possess the competencies that the industry demands. This study demonstrates the efficacy of design principles in designing information systems. This study also demonstrates the usage of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to explain and understand practitioners' acceptance of ConPEC. The findings reveal that practitioners perceived ConPEC to be useful, easy to use, and user-friendly. Practitioners’ behavioral intention-to-use ConPEC is significantly influenced by attitude toward usage, perceived ease of use, and trust. Trust also significantly influenced perceived ease of use. However, perceived usefulness has no direct significant influence on practitioners’ behavioral intention-to-use ConPEC. The study uncovers practitioners' acceptance behavior toward ConPEC which could be leveraged for further system development. The study also provides a framework that can be leveraged in diverse domains to develop similar initiatives aimed at addressing skill gaps in fresh graduates.

The aim of this study was to examine the determinants of the continuance intention with respect to use of the Audit Tools and Linked Archives System (ATLAS) by employing survey methods. These determinants are developed from an Expectation Confirmation Model (ECM). The sample of this study is auditors who use ATLAS in public accounting firms in Indonesia. As many as 356 data points can be processed using smartPLS. This study revealed that perceived usefulness, confirmation, information quality, top management commitment and satisfaction affected the auditor’s intentions when using ATLAS. The implications of this study are (1) Public accounting firms must provide full support to auditors in using ATLAS and equip auditors through training so auditors understand that using ATLAS is very useful; (2) IAPI must pay attention to outputs that are complete, good and appropriate so that the auditor is satisfied when using ATLAS. The auditor has a tendency to continue using ATLAS if he is satisfied.
... Numerous empirical studies have shown that behavioral intention is a good predictor of real behavior since it has a strong correlation with actual technology use (Mardiana et al., 2015). This study is aimed at investigating teachers’ perspectives on the use of EAITs in education. This study uses a mixed-method cross-sectional design, including a quantitative study and a qualitative study, targeting Palestinian teachers in the academic year 2022–2023. In the quantitative section, we recruited a convenience sample of 264 teachers from schools from November 20, 2022, to June 30, 2023. We gathered data by using an online, well-structured, and self-administered survey with 35 items. The survey tool was composed of seven sections: (A) demographic information, (B) constructivist pedagogical beliefs (CPB), (C) transmissive pedagogical beliefs (TPB), (D) perceived trust (PT), (E) perceived usefulness (PU), (F) perceived ease of use (PEU), and (G) behavioral intention (BI). In the qualitative section, 15 teachers were interviewed in focus group discussions by two trained researchers. Descriptive statistics and an inductive content analysis approach were used to analyze quantitative and qualitative data, respectively. The results showed that the median value of the total CPB scores was very high (4.40, IQR = 4.2–4.8) and TPB was low (2.40, IQR = 2.00–3.05). In addition, the median value of the total PT (3.50, IQR = 3.00–4.00), PU (4.00, IQR = 3.75–4.5), PEU (3.50, IQR = 3.00–4.00), and BI (4.00, IQR = 3.67–4.33) scores was high. Males had a significantly higher median score of PT when compared to females (4.00 versus 3.50, respectively; p = 0.033). Teachers aged 22–30 were the highest in the median score of PT as compared to their other counterparts (3.75; p = 0.037). Also, teachers who employ technology in education and those who attend courses related to AI in education had a significantly higher median score of PT, PU, PEU, and BI than teachers who did not employ various technologies in education. Also, teachers who work in private schools had the highest median score of PEU as compared to their counterparts (4.00; p = 0.014). Teachers who have scientific backgrounds had a significantly higher median score of BI than teachers who have art backgrounds (4.00 versus 3.99, respectively; p = 0.009). More detailed research is needed on the impact of employing EAITs on school students and teachers in education.
... The DeLeon and McLean information system model has been widely utilized due to its capability to e®ectively explain users' adoption behavior [Ashra¯et al. (2022)]. A study by Mardiana et al. [2015] proposed and validated a conceptual model that combined exogenous variables from the TAM, ISS, and UTAUT models, respectively, to provide a hypothetical basis for the integration of these three models (C-TAM-ISS-UTAUT). On the other hand, Mohammadi [2015] has employed the C-TAM-ISS model to incorporate indicators from the ISS and TAM components for a more holistic understanding of technology adoption behavior. ...

This study aimed to investigate and provide insight into the drivers and motivations behind users’ intentions for using car dashcams. The study utilized a purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 225 and obtained responses through a structured questionnaire. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was performed to verify the proposed hypotheses. The findings demonstrated that the perceived quality of the system, the quality of the information, and the quality of the interaction positively influenced the perceived ease of use and usefulness of using car dashcams. Attitude and behavioral intention were affected by perceived ease of use and usefulness, while perceived usefulness had no influence on intention to use car dashcams. While hedonic motivation and price value impacted behavioral intention, social intention did not affect it. Attitude was found to fully mediate the path between perceived usefulness and behavioral intention. The outcomes of the study incorporate a considerable amount of knowledge into the adoption behavior of telematics literature by integrating prevalent technology adoption models into a unified model: The information system success model (ISS), technology acceptance model (TAM), and unified theory of acceptance and use of technology 2 (UTAUT2). The findings provide valuable insights for marketers, the dash cam industry, and policymakers to enhance their understanding of the critical factors affecting the adoption of car dashcams, which can assist in customizing their marketing campaigns and policies to encourage the usage of dashcams, leading to improved road safety and safe driving behavior.

Electronic commerce has allowed businesses to grow globally by breaking down barriers that many believed could not be overcome. Although large companies often outperform small and medium-sized businesses, e-commerce allows them to compete with them in some areas. Surprisingly, there is a lack of theoretical evidence regarding e-commerce net benefits for a small and medium-sized business that operates in the context of Business-to-Business. We expand the previous model of information system success by analyzing the role of game dynamics and user satisfaction in the intention to use e-commerce and its net benefits in the success of the new e-commerce platform. To help predict the success of a new e-commerce platform we collect 522 responses from a pool of clients of a small company that sells products to Hotels, Restaurants, and Cafes. Ease of use is the main variable that affects customer satisfaction and their intention to use e-commerce The company will only achieve e-commerce net benefits if these conditions are met. The results contribute to a better understanding of e-commerce net benefits while developing a new e-commerce platform and provide valuable practical contributions for small companies that have limited marketing and information systems.
