User-friendly thermal-stress coupled simulating platform of mass concrete

The thermal stress coupling problem is the key issue during the construction of mass concrete. Plenty of commercial FEM software products are not widely applied because they have high capability requirements of the users. In the paper, based on Excel and VBA programming, the user-friendly preliminary treatment is realized. With the background program compiled by C language as well as the core solver of Marc, simulation platform of thermal stress coupling of mass concrete is developed. The user-friendly platform can achieve an automated procedure of preprocessing, calculating and post-processing and improve the generality of simulation calculation of mass concrete projects. In addition, the practical calculation case of domestic concrete project provided in the paper proved validity and practicability of the platform.
