Myriospora dilatata is newly reported for the Czech Republic and M. myochroa new for Italy. Myriospora rufescens was rediscovered in Germany almost 100 years after its first collection. A neotype is designated for Acarospora fusca, which is recognized as a synonym of M. rufescens.

... species that can be overlooked, especially in a mixed saxicolous community. The three 21st century German collections suggest that M. rufescens prefers microhabitats with high annual relative humidity. The neotype locality for Acarospora fusca on Koos Island is a boulder beach on the western edge of Greifswalder Bodden, a bay of the Baltic Sea (Fig. 2). The neotype population occurred on the top of a large boulder that was not usually inundated but regularly sprayed by waves of brackish water, leaving salt crystals embedded in the cortex and apothecia. The two other modern German sites for M. rufescens were on the small narrow island of Neßsand, located just downstream from Hamburg ...

We present a checklist for Moshchny Island (Leningrad Region, Russia). The documented lichen biota comprises 349 species, including 313 lichens, 30 lichenicolous fungi and 6 non-lichenized saprobic fungi. Endococcus exerrans and Lichenopeltella coppinsii are reported for the first time for Russia; Cercidospora stenotropae, Erythricium aurantiacum, Flavoplaca limonia, Lecidea haerjedalica, and Myriospora myochroa for European Russia; Flavoplaca oasis, Intralichen christiansenii, Nesolechia fusca, and Myriolecis zosterae for North-Western European Russia; and Arthrorhaphis aeruginosa, Calogaya pusilla, and Lecidea auriculata subsp. auriculata are new for Leningrad Region. The studied lichen biota is moderately rich and diverse, but a long history of human activity likely caused its transformation, especially the degradation of forest lichen biota. The most valuable habitats for lichens in Moshchny Island are seashore and dune communities which definitely deserve protection.

Revision von Belegen der Flechtengattungen Acarospora, Lecanora und Ramalina aus dem einstigen Privatherbarium von Ludwig Meinunger. – Herzogia 35: 462–466. Revision of specimens of the lichen genera Acarospora, Lecanora and Ramalina from former private herbarium of Ludwig Meinunger. – Herzogia 35: 462– 466. Specimens of the genus Acarospora as well as of Lecanora hybocarpa, L. sinuosa and Ramalina baltica from the former private herbarium of Ludwig Meinunger were revised. The here published specimens of Acarospora intermedia are the first records for the German landscape units Mecklenburgisches Rückland (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern), Main-Tauber-Gebiet (Bavaria) und Vogtland (Thuringia). The occurrences of Acarospora gallica, A. rugulosa and Lecanora sinuosa in Thuringia were confirmed. Lecanora hybocarpa is to be deleted from the Thuringian checklist. Acarospora nitrophila and Ramalina baltica are classified as doubtful in Thuringia.

Knudsen, K., Kocourková, J., Hodková, E. & Schiefelbein, U. 2021. A new species of Myriospora (Acarosporaceae) and a report of Myriospora rufescens from Central Europe.-Herzogia 34: 327-338. Myriospora bullata is described from Germany. It is similar to M. scabrida in having apothecia in a parathecial ring but differs in becoming bullate, in often being orange, and in being a lichenicolous lichen. It is probably restricted to copper-rich rock. Myriospora himalayensis is not considered a member of the genus but a regional lineage in either Acarospora or Sarcogyne. Myriospora rufescens is reported new for the Czech Republic.
