The analysis of current and voltage sinusoidal wave analysis of AC power system is the key area of research in computational science. Unlike the previous decades, it is a field for preventive and corrective measures from the safety and performance point of view. Our team has analyzed the harmonics problem in residential areas extensively with a special emphasis on suddenly accepted methodologies and Fourier analysis and developed some techniques to troubleshoot the fluctuations in the electrical network harmonics. There are a few problems of harmonics in the electrical power systems and their critical analysis may help a lot in increasing the performance. We have reviewed certain possible topologies to cut down harmonics in the power systems and rectify to provide pure sinusoidal voltage and current for the better health and long life of expensive modern devices. New inventions in this direction are the need of the time, because the harmonics alter the facilities provided by electrical distribution systems for any kind of maintenance and troubleshooting
