... We assessed the internal reliability, their convergent validity, and the reliability of their indicators. As shown in We also found it necessary to examine the reflexive measures of our model in terms of discriminant validity because the constructs had to be different from each other in order to reliably assess the structural model (Sarker et al., 2021). We assessed discriminant validity using the Fornell-Larcker criteria and the Heterotrait-monotrait correlation ratio (HTMT) (Henseler et al., 2015). ...

The aim of the research is to model the concept of CSR on the basis of multifactorial influence, namely innovation, motives of marketing, strategies, motives of marketing mix construction and two concepts of CSR, the concept of ecological and social-ethical. Companies should not only address the mechanism for communicating CSR to process stakeholders and customers but also focus on the relationship between a company’s green strategy and sustainability. The study also evaluated the influence on the CSR concept in terms of generated corporate innovations or the influence caused by marketing mix tools. Data from 812 respondents were collected through online structured questionnaires for the period from December 2020 to May 2021. Within the framework of establishing scientific hypotheses, these were oriented toward three directions: innovation, marketing strategies and marketing mix and corporate social responsibility. To process the results and test the hypotheses of this study, we used a multi-analytical methodology using Partial Least Squares Modelling (PLS-SEM). The results show that both the motives of marketing strategies and the motives of competitiveness have a positive and significant effect on the concept of CSR applied in companies, but only if the path involves corporate innovation because the significance of the use of marketing mix tools was not confirmed. The research results show that the impact of the competitiveness motive is significantly higher than the impact of the actual creation and construction of the marketing mix.

International students face many impediments under the COVID-19 pandemic. The objectives of this study are to assess the association between the perceptions of international students and the lockdown policy for COVID-19. In 2021, three different levels of lockdown policy were enforced, including level I from January to April, level III from May to July, and level II from August to December. We conducted three surveys for international graduate students using a validated questionnaire during the different lockdown levels. We collected 185, 119, and 83 valid questionnaires in level I, II, and III, respectively. There were linear trends in the correlations of lockdown policy with the knowledge (p = 0.052), attitudes (p = 0.002), and practices (p < 0.001) of COVID-19. In brief, the stricter the lockdown policy, the better the students adhered to sufficient knowledge, positive attitudes, and healthy practices. Furthermore, there were significant linear correlations of lockdown policy with the transportation, school study, leisure, family life, and diet behavior. In conclusion, lockdown policy had important impacts on the knowledge, attitudes, practices, and daily lives of international students. The findings indicated that the lockdown system and its corresponding measures appear to affect perceptions in a positive way.
... In the study, it was concluded that the pandemic awareness of elderly individuals, who were in the most important risk group during the COVID-19 pandemic, had significant effects on the perception of death anxiety and spiritual well-being and that the increase in pandemic awareness reduced death anxiety and increased spiritual well-being. It is of extreme importance to raise public awareness of the disease to decrease the rapid spread of COVID-19 and its adverse effects on health (Sarker et al., 2021). Accordingly, it is believed that it is quite important for health personnel or health politicians to provide the necessary information about the pandemic to raise the awareness of elderly individuals about the disease. ...

This study aimed to investigate how international students enrolled on medical and surgical bachelor's degree programs (MBBS) in China perceived online medical education course, compared to native Chinese students during the Covid‐19 pandemic. The perceptions of 38 MBBS and 31 Chinese sophomores were surveyed using the Chaoxing platform. The international student group's mean satisfaction with online teaching was 2.737 on a 5‐point scale, much lower than the Chinese students' mean score of 4.355 (p < 0.05). Similarly, the international students expressed less satisfaction than the Chinese learners with other aspects of the course, including the teacher's level, at 3.964 ± 0.818 versus 4.445 ± 0.548 (p < 0.05); curriculum organization, at 3.651 ± 0.848 versus 4.333 ± 0.568 (p < 0.05); and self‐learning level, at 3.634 ± 0.996 versus 3.686 ± 0.949 (p > 0.05), respectively. There were also noteworthy differences between the progress made by the international students in Chinese language learning, which was positively correlated with satisfaction with teaching on the online medical education (p < 0.05). The results suggest that, while online teaching was a necessary response to the Covid‐19 pandemic, satisfaction with this mode of education is lower among international students than their Chinese counterparts.
... In addition, the intention of PA plays an essential role in predicting PA behavior (Cheon et al., 2012). Previous studies have applied the theory of planned behavior (TPB) to study an individual's intention and behavior (Sarker et al., 2021). Ajzen (1985) suggested TPB based on the theory of rational behavior (TRA), which believed that an individual's behavioral intention (INT) and behavior would be influenced by behavioral attitude (ATT), subjective norms (SNs), and perceived behavioral control (PBC; Ajzen, 1985;Venkatesh et al., 2000). ...

Proper and regular physical activity (PA) plays an important role in improving people’s health. With the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has posed a serious threat to individual health, residents’ PA has aroused deep concern. Based on the theory of planned behavior, this study examines the impact of residents’ PA intention and behavior in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Data were collected from a sample of 961 residents in Wuhan in China using a questionnaire survey. The results show that residents’ PA intention and behavior have been affected significantly by residents’ PA attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control. The COVID-19 pandemic has a significant impact on both residents’ PA intention and behavior. In addition, there were gender and region differences in this impact. The findings are of great significance in promoting residents’ PA intention and PA behavior, which are of positive significance to the development of residents’ physical and mental health in the period of global serious health crisis.

The new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) which spread across the globe has no effective treatment or vaccine and calls for other ways to control its infection are needed. The disease easily spread among people in close contact through cough and/or sneeze. This prompted the World Health Organisation WHO to recommend other ways of controlling the disease to include quarantine, isolation and social distancing where people without the symptoms are distanced from one another. Students may experience loneliness, anxiety, depression, and insomnia due to self-quarantine and other issues like social isolation, perceived dangers, uncertainty in relation to study, physical discomfort, fear of virus infection from others, negative news in the mass media. As such, international students who are far from home were invited as respondents to explore the effect of these control measure on those under self-quarantine. A qualitative online interview protocol was sent to the locations of these students at Sungai Chinchin in Gombak and international student hostel Sabah. To be eligible, respondents should be international students and observing self-quarantine.

Background Similar to other countries, reproductive-age women in Nepal frequently encounter diverse mental disorders, yet they receive inadequate screening and attention. This research seeks to address this gap by conducting a comprehensive examination of the prevalence and factors associated with mental disorders of reproductive-age women in Nepal. Methods This study used the nationally representative Nepal Demographic and Health Survey 2022 dataset to examine the association between mental disorders and potential confounders. Screening tools for Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD-7) and Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) were employed, and descriptive and inferential statistics, including linear regression and structural equation modeling, were utilized in the analysis. Results The study found that 22% of Nepalese women aged 15 to 49 reported anxiety symptoms, while 5% reported depressive symptoms. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) reveals that anxiety had the most significant positive effect on depression (β = 0.683, p < 0.001), followed by emotional violence (β = 0.139, p < 0.001). Marital status (β = 0.072, p < 0.001) and the presence of genital discharge (β = 0.084, p < 0.001) or ulcer (β = 0.058, p < 0.001) in the last 12 months were also associated with higher levels of depression. Conversely, self-rated health status (β=-0.121, p < 0.001) was negatively associated with depression, indicating that better-perceived health was linked to lower levels of depression. Conclusion Although the prevalence of anxiety symptoms is higher than that of depression, there is a positive relationship between these two. Consequently, it is crucial to address the identified factors contributing to anxiety and depression in this population group through behavioral and policy interventions to enhance the mental well-being of reproductive-age women.

This study investigates the relationship between COVID-19 and the adoption of green supply chain management practices (GSCM) in the Pakistani e-commerce industry. It also assesses the impact of these practices on ecological sustainability across three dimensions and explores the role of big data analytics (BDA) in enhancing them after the pandemic. The research utilized partial least squares structural equation modeling to evaluate data and test hypotheses. The research sample was composed of 390 managers operating within Pakistan’s e-commerce industry. The study’s preliminary findings reveal that COVID-19 has positively influenced the adoption of GSCM practices, which are moderated by BDA. Implementing GSCM has a positive impact on the perceived environmental and social resilience of e-commerce enterprises, but no significant effect on their perceived economic resilience. Additionally, GSCM acts as a mediator in the relationship between the impact of COVID-19 and the perceived environmental and social resilience of e-commerce firms, but not for economic resilience. This research focuses on Pakistan’s e-commerce industry and investigates how COVID-19 affects the adoption of eco-friendly supply chain practices. It measures the impact of these practices on ecological sustainability using three dimensions. The study also examines how BDA can improve the adoption of GSCM in e-commerce, offering new insights into sustainability during and post-pandemic. The results recommend that the e-commerce industry can use BDA and GSCM practices to improve e-commerce sustainable performance. This is initial research that integrates COVID-19 impact, BDA, GSCM practices, and e-commerce sustainability in a single framework that was overlooked previously.
