... KM is recognized as a vital component in supply chain decision-making and problem-solving processes (Schoenherr, Griffith, & Chandra, 2014). Collaboration with suppliers and customers presents an opportunity for strengthening KM practices, enabling better information sharing and knowledge dissemination (Bessant & Tidd, 2007). Indeed, KM serves as a key enabler of the SCM process, facilitating the acquisition, creation, and application of knowledge for enhancing supply chain operations (Sweeney, Grant, & Mangan, 2015). ...

Supply chain management practices (SCMP) have huge potential to improve organizational performance (OP) in various organizational settings. However, many studies have found that the relationship between SCMP and OP is not direct and is greatly influenced by some other capabilities such as knowledge management (KM) and innovation capabilities of organizations. Prior research mainly focused on developed countries and suggested numerous models and frameworks to adopt and implement SCMP in various industries. However, the mediating role of KM and innovation capabilities in the linkage between SCMP and OP has not been fully grabbed in fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) organizations and especially, Pakistan remained unexplored. This study filled this gap and investigated the mediating role of KM and innovation capabilities in the linkage between SCMP and OP in FMCG organizations of Pakistan. This was carried-out by developing an explanatory model, formulating hypotheses, and testing the hypotheses after gathering sample data from the 194 FMCG organizations of Pakistan and applying PLS based SEM for data analysis. The study revealed many interesting results based on the data from Pakistani FMCG organizations. First, the study exhibited that SCMP positively influences OP in FMCG organizations of Pakistan. Second, the study showed that SCMP positively influences KM and innovation capacities. Third, the study indicated that KM positively affects OP but innovation does not affect OP. Lastly, the study disclosed that KM partially mediates the linkage between SCMP and OP in this context. However, innovation demonstrates no mediating effect in the association between SCMP and OP. The results are vital for theory and practice. Theoretically, the results can be used to develop new and/or update existing theories and frameworks related to SCMP, KM, innovation, and OP. Managers and practitioners can also utilize their scarce resources in limited areas where they should invest their resources, time, and effort for ultimate improvement of OP. Other organizations and even countries can also use the results to improve OP in their contexts.
... Berdasarkan bukti empiris, terdapat keterkaitan yang erat antara inovasi dan daya saing. ... There are numerous products and services development models that incorporate varying stages, all starting with a concept and concluding with its commercialisation (Bessant & Tidd, 2015). Among them is the classic innovation funnel defined by Clark and Wheelwright (1992), consisting of three stages (idea generation, problem-solving, and implementation). ...

Lean Startup provides an iterative, hypothesis-driven approach to business creation and product development, promoting data-driven decision-making by involving potential users and customers during the development cycle. Despite increased academic attention, the debate on the benefits of Lean Startup is open. To contribute to the understanding of how organisations incorporate Lean Startup principles, this study conducts a systematic literature review and identifies the industries in which its application has been analysed, the adaptation models followed by organisations, and the key drivers for its adoption in new and established organisations. The study's findings contribute to advancing knowledge on the adoption of Lean Startup principles, tools, and techniques in organisations. The results also help to the academic debate surrounding the usefulness and application of Lean Startup principles across different organisational contexts.
... In addition, for many small firms, innovation depends upon informality and incremental, thus lacking global overview and strategic vision. Ensuring a firm's competitive advantage in this rapidly changing global market is now well-established from various studies that internal and external innovation structures should be operational and functional (Bessant and Tidd, 2007). ...

The present article explores the internal and external factors that enable the implementation of innovative practices within Georgian SMEs and the successful management of innovation and growth. We posit that a well-functioning and effective innovation management model is a prerequisite for growth and sustainability. The research aims to propose a conceptual model of innovation management and assess whether the application of innovation practices impacts the company’s growth in the targeted sample. The interpretation of results is based on examining the phenomenon and synthesis of theoretical information and data obtained from the online questionnaire and focus group. The data reported here appear to support the assumption that innovation management and a good combination of human and financial resources shall be the basis upon which the growth is implemented. As there is still a scarcity of research on innovation management practices in SMEs in developing countries, notably in Georgia, the present study shall contribute to the business and innovation management literature and shall develop recommendations and suggestions for start-up managers, entrepreneurs, policymakers or other interested parties. Consequently, the present research shall attempt to combine theoretical and empirical substantiations and create practical implications.
... This shows that, most GCSOs were not able to turn most of the creative ideas into useful products or services. Bessant and Tidd (2011) show that, not all creative ideas become innovations rather they only become one if they are implemented. This implies that GCSOs failure to convert some creative ideas into innovations was likely to affect the subsequent innovation stage i.e. dissemination. ...

Most primary co-operatives in Tanzania have experienced various challenges including resources deficit, mismanagement, inadequate co-operative education and global competition among others making them unable to design and utilise sound innovations. In realization of such challenges and recognition of their socio-economic potential, several government co-operative supporting organisations (GCSOs) have been established to facilitate co-operative growth and development. This study assessed the extent of collaboration among GCSOs in innovations design and dissemination to primary co-operative societies (PCSos) in Tanzania. Specifically, the study established the initiatives undertaken in each innovation chain of the studied GCSOs in terms of innovation ideas generation, conversion and dissemination to PCSos in the past fifteen years (2007-2022) period; determined the extent to which GCSOs have been collaborating in areas of innovations design and dissemination to PCSos and established the innovations designed and disseminated in collaboration among studied GCSOs to PCSos in the period under study (2007-2022). The study adopted the case study research design using multiple cases where five cases were picked. The study population included the selected GCSOs operating in Tanzania which formed the unit of analysis for this study. Primary data were collected from GCSOs executives and staff using focus groups-participant observation was also used. The findings show that, the innovation chains of most of the studied GCSOs were weak and disjointed. Equally, innovation collaboration was found to be lacking in most of the GCSOs. Moreover, limited traces of inter-organisational collaboration in innovations design and dissemination to PCSos were found. It is advised that GCSOs should work to ensure innovation value chain strengths through genuine allocation and prioritisation of resources. More efforts such as setting innovation units and or hubs, among others to enhance innovation activities and collaborations within GCSOs are advised. Such efforts may eventually graduate into inter-organisational collaborations which are currently missing.
... It measures an organization's ability to generate and execute creative ideas that create value for its stakeholders. ... The need to look into ways that small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) can improve their innovation readiness represents another research gap. SMEs frequently require greater resources and capabilities to develop and implement innovation strategies despite the fact that innovation is crucial to their growth and survival (Bos-Brouwers, 2010;Bessant & Tidd, 2011). Thus, in order to improve SMEs' readiness for innovation, it is imperative to investigate how they can make use of outside resources, such as technological communities and networks (Assimakopoulos, 2007). ...

Purpose- The purpose of this paper is to analyze the level of innovation readiness in Dubai’s public sector by taking a critical look at the current facilitating conditions, analyzing the gaps that arise with the lack of various innovations in place, and offering recommendations to remedy the problem. Methodology- This study uses a cross-sectional study design by using information from peer-reviewed journal articles. The search process for the articles involved the use of relevant terms such as “innovation readiness,” “facilitating conditions,” as well as “Dubai Public Sector.” The search narrowed down 15 peer-reviewed journal articles that were now used for the study. Findings- This study identified research gaps from the literature review and highlighted how the literature could be broadened and possible research questions that can be identified from the literature. Implications- The intention to use innovation readiness is positively impacted by facilitating situations, but the effect is marginal after the initial usage. As a result, the Model suggests that conducive environments have an immediate, considerable impact on user behavior. Originality/ value- The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology discussed in this essay gives insights into the various forms of technology by comparing prominent technology acceptance theories.

Social intelligenceis the capacity, capability, or ability to build relationships with others effectively; therefore, its existence is vital for an organization’s members, including teachers, in the school organization context. Therefore, this study explores the link between social intelligence and creativity, teaching self-efficacy, affective commitment, and innovative work behavior in Indonesian teachers, estimates the strength of these relationships, and finds a relevant new empirical model. A Likert-scale questionnaire was used to collect research data from 496 teachers. Structural equation modeling supported by descriptive and correlational analyses revealed that social intelligencehad a significant relationship with teachers’ creativity, teaching self-efficacy, affective commitment, and innovative work behavior. Additionally, creativity, teaching self-efficacy, and affective commitment were significantly linked to teachers’ innovative work behavior. Social intelligence had the strongest association with self-efficacy. Finally, a new empirical model of the link between social intelligence and teachers’ innovative work behavior with the serial mediation of creativity, teaching self-efficacy, and affective commitment was developed. Accordingly, social intelligence improvement can potentially increase teachers’ creativity, teaching self-efficacy, affective commitment, and innovative work behavior, which are worthy of discussion and priority by researchers, academics, and practitioners for developing social intelligence in various fields and contexts.
